Skill 10: Healthy DJ

If you want to grow up to be healthy, happy, strong and reach your potential you need to mix it up and be a healthy DJ!

You’ve probably heard of the five food groups, but a healthy DJ knows how to spin them out on a plate to maximise the nutrition.

To get the balance right, aim to make colourful veggies and fruit fill half your plate, then split the other half between whole grains and healthy proteins. Plant based sources of protein like beans, chickpeas, nuts and seeds are great because they are low in saturated fat. Lean meats such as poultry and fish are also good options.
